Discover the longest inclined plane in the world !

Launched in 1968, the Sloping Lock of Ronquières is one of the most outstanding technical achievements of the second half of the 20th century. Still today considered to be the longest inclined plane in the world with its slope of 1432 metres, it allows inland waterway vessels to cross a difference in height of 68 metres on the Charleroi-Brussels canal.

Audio-guided visit / Duration: approximately 1h30

Immerse yourself in the world of inland waterway transport and discover the many facets of this little-known, yet exciting profession! Observe the passage of the boats from the glass footbridges and enjoy an exceptional 360° panorama from the top of the tower and you will be able to see the Lion of Waterloo mound or the Brussels Atomium !

From the beginning of April to the end of September, except on Mondays.
Closed from 20 to 24 May (Orchiday's) and from 30 July to 2 August (Ronquières Musique Festival).
From 10 am and 6.30 pm (last visits at 5 pm).

Possibility of picnic in the cafeteria (groups on reservation).
